Project 05:
Bathroom

This was a full renovation & interior design project.

The brief for this project was to create an ergonomically functional and safe environment (in a very small space) for a user with mobility challenges.

​

Particular attention was paid to the design of this bathroom.  Consideration was given to the use of non-slip floor tiles, appropriately positioned grab-rails, a hand-basin with integral grab-rails, a wide-opening shower cubicle with no trip hazard when entering/exiting the shower, toilet positioned at appropriate height etc.

 

For this project, I was responsible for  conceptualising and realising the design of the bathroom, including the selection of sanitary ware, tiles, paint colours, hardware finishes, heating elements and small décor items; additionally, I was responsible for contractor sourcing, and project co-ordination in the areas of demolition, electrics, flooring, tiling, heating & painting.
