Project 01:
Master Bedroom
The brief for this full interior design project was to create a serene and inviting sanctuary-space to retreat to at the end of the day.
The exposed timber roof trussing features prominently, placing emphasis on the height of the room.
There is a quiet focus on the use of textures and natural textiles. The modern minimalist design of the bedside lamps is softened by the gently curved headboard, and both are complimented by the classic curves of the Thonet chair.
The intentionally few furniture and décor items in the room allow the space to breathe.
For this project I was responsible for conceptualising and realising the design of the room, as well as having responsibility for the co-ordination of contractors in the areas of electrics, flooring, painting and window treatments.
The en-suite master bathroom (not pictured) was existing, and required only the selection of upper cabinetry, window treatments and small decorative elements.
